Hello all chardev users.

As LeMartin has stated, the development of chardev ended the 2nd of September this year, and as far as I understand, there are absolutely no plans whatsoever to pick up the work again, and this is why I hope that he won't mind me posting the following.

Currently, as far as I know, the closest thing we have to a chardev equivalent is the wowhead Profiler. The problem however, is that it does not handle reforging correctly, and to the queries if they will fix this, they have replied as follows:

"The profiler has never worked with reforging in stats; unfortunately the profiler is low on priority and we do not plan to dedicate resources to adding new features to it beyond bug fixes (and reforging would be an actual new feature!)."

So, my suggestion, for everyone that would like to see a chardev replacement, is to post their support in the following thread on wowhead: http://www.wowhead.com/forums&topic=197898&p=2989683

If enough chardev users do it, they might just change their minds, so please, take a moment to sign up for a wowhead account if you don't already have one, and show your support.

wowhead profiler suxx.

- There is NO possibility to import my char from the blizzard armory.
- There is NO possibility to reforge my items (as mentioned).
- There IS a circuitous way to add the items to my char.


so PLEASE LeMartin, update chardev, as it is the BEST profiler I have saw!

Yes i agree this is the best profiler i've seen and yeah the Wowhead one sucks big time.

In all the time i've been playing wow i found this place about 4/5 months ago and spent that much time redoing and redoing my gear (PvP) to get the best out of it, it's going to be a shame to see it go.

LeMartin you made a great place here i hope you have a change of heart.

Maybe ask Wowhead for a job and fix their peice of CRAP.

Or request the gentlemen of www.WoWreforge.com to include a way in which to gather gear/enchant/gem information from WoWhead-profiler and do the reforging for you in the best possible fashion.

WoWreforge is using Silverlight and have thereby disqualified themselves right from the start. I'd rather see the wowhead Profiler up and running, since it works for us Linux users as well.
