Hello, everytime I use your character planner it bugs out after like 4 seconds.
Everytime I get on it, after about 4 seconds nothing works when I click on it. If I try I can quickly choose the race and spec but then if I click on the armor/weapons nothing happens. If I choose to go for a weapon/armor slot first, they will show up but after the initial 4 seconds nothing works. It's like the connection between me and the site just goes away or something. It seems like my internet is fine, I can access all other sites such as youtube, and many others without error, it's just this chardev website, and apparently others aren't having the problem so I don't know what to do. I tried using a different web browser and I tried restarting my computer but nothing is working. I can't even post my issue on the site forums because when I press post the busy icon comes up and it sits there indefenitly, i let it load for like 20 minutes and it still would not post my issue. I had to write out this post in notepad and copy and paste it into your forum before the site stops letting me do anything, I hope I can get some help with this issue. Modified 2 times, last |

Ok I'm going to just stop coming to this website, it's obviously going to stay broken for me.

I'm sorry to hear that.
In case you reconsider or someone else having the same problem, I'll try to provide some directions for tracing the problem. The first thing that comes to mind is, that is has to be browser related (because chardev is just working fine for me). So which browser are you using? The second thing is, it might be a problem with the flash-based ads, as Javascript is in general not able to do, what you describe, without the browser showing some message, that JS is acting up. Try updating your flash and disabling any ad-blocker (yes, there have been instances where blocking ads caused problems, although they are not tied into chardev, in that manner). Be sure to have Javascript and Cookies enabled and if possible provide me with any outputs your browser might generate in the "error console" (ctrl+shift+j in ff, ctrl+shift+i in chrome, f12 in ie). - LeMartin Modified once, Jul 27th 2012 at 6:45 PM |
