There were numerous requests asking for a pre 70 charplanner. I had always to answer that it'd be too much work, collecting all the needed base stats. This was true till i had the idea of an automated spider crawling wowarmory.com to collect the needed data.

So i wrote the spider, let it do it's work and made chardev ready for pre 70 planning.
I added a new filter, so you only see item's matching your level (only works for items which require a level),

So, enjoy it, and let me know if something isn't working.

I also changed some of the 70 to 80 stats, they'd be more accurate now.

With some delay i changed the appearance of chardev to fit the WotLK theme.

Everything is icy and blue now, i hope you like it, i certainly do.

I also recoded some of the site's modules to make it easier to add changes and improved the item/spell/profile/enchant list implementation, nothing you'd notice.

The item database should also be up to date, there are still the spell and defense tab missing, as i'm a little busy at the moment, and i don't know when it will be updated, i removed it completly, for now.

So this is my - a little late - christmas present.

After exploring WotLK myself the last week, hitting 80 and getting the Pengu-Pet, i'll try to focus a little more on chardev.

For now Talents and Enchants should be up to date, as all items ,i could find, are available in the databse.

The todo-List is somehow longer:

- Despite being up to date it's most likely that some talents won't affect stats as they should do, so please feel free to report anything you notice.

- The base stats are expected to be off, i took them from the armory and tried to calculate them backwards, what is not possibly as accurate as the stats of an unskilled, naked char.

- There may be some new Spells/Effects chardev can't handle right now.

- Spells/Defense-Tab...

Nevertheless i'm somehow busy, so don't expect too much.

I know it took some time, but chardev should be uptodate again, at least concerning items and things. I'm aware that the spell/defense/... tabs need some overhaul.

After all the time I finally added the french version of the items to chardev.

I'm pretty busy at the moment, the new achievement system isn't helping either keeping chardev up to date.

So, if you notice something, please write something in the forum.

PS: I murdered the mail-server yesterday, and haven't found time to... okay that's a lie, I simply hate to spend hours and hours configuring ldap's, sasls and reading documentations about things i dont care.

I've added an option to choose between the Live and the PTR version of chardev.

Simply click at "character planner", and you'll ask which to use. I've considered this as the best solution for now.

Nevertheless this is very, very, extremly experimental.
Chardev was never designed to support multiple versions, so i've simply put the old version to an own folder, modified everything a little, and now i'm hoping it works out.
