A World of Warcraft Character Planner
News
Recode
Hey,
i've uploaded the recoded version of the char planner. I've done several minor improvements, the main thing about the new version is the better engine and the better code.
So the calculation could be wrong and maybe worse than in the old version but that's something you'll always have if you recode something.

So please let me know anything you notice. The fixes will come faster than the last month, I promise.
So, instead of searching eastereggs you'd search for bugs !

Just kidding, have a nice Easter!

Multilignual
Hola, Hello, Hallo !
No its not the news that'll be multilingual, but the character planner.

You can access a spanish and a german version of the site via: http://es.chardev.org and http://de.chardev.org the site itself is not localized, but the items and the talents.
Through the fact that I've to see the items to add them to my database, better their names, the localized versions are very incomplete. If an item name is missing the englisch version is shown.

Also I did some in deep changes on the talent tab, it'd now be up to date, and more complete.

And again, your invited to send me your ./cache/wdb/xxXX/itemcache.wdb to fill my database (de,en,fr,es)

Good Night, and Good Luck!

Patch 2.4
Hola,

the ptr is online and some of the new items are already available at chardev.org.
The rest will follow as soon as there's a AtlasLoot featuring all new items and these items dropped for someone on ptr. If you've seen items on the ptr that are not in the database you'd send me your WoWTest\Cache\WDB\enGB\itemcache.wdb (only gb/us) via e-mail. So I'd parse these and include them into my database.

Please don't bother me because of one missing item, at least not till friday, thanks.

Haha, I guess getting to the Isle of Quel'Danas is the best part of 2.4.

Inventory slots
Hello,
I've added a back functionality to every inventory slot.
Each time you equip a new item, the previous equipped will be saved but only this last item the others are lost. You can reequip this saved item by moving your mouse over the inventory slot and clicking on the arrows to the left. If you do so, your current item will be placed in the hidden-slot, and the one that was placed in the hidden slot will be equipped. Keep in mind removing an item always removes the visible item, the hidden stays and you could equip it.
If you equip an item when the hidden and the visible slot are in use, the new goes into the visible, the visible into the hidden and the hidden item is lost!
I recommend not to use the delete function through it's not necessary and the effects are irreversible.
Also an annoying and ugly confirmation dialog has been added, so it's unlikely you remove items by accidently pressing the right mouse button

Did I mention that the hidden items won't be saved ?
And some feedback would be nice!

Have a nice day!

Templates
Hey, I added some new Features and in case someone checks this page for updates, here they come !
I'd some time to spent after hours of network layers, transport protocols and all these funny things, so i decided to add the template delete function.
And when I was on it I also took the opportunity to implement the possibility to update templated. Which was now that i'm done a mistake.
But however it works? at least it did, when i tried it, okay, okay, that was before i had to write some workaround, but nevertheless... Okay, enough bad english, here's how to use these options:

You'd now be able to delete your templates.
Just log in and at the profile list after the creator's name (your name) a link [delete] should appear.

Also I added an option to "update" old profiles, if you're logged in, the save tab will contain a new link (update).
But only if you're viewing one of your profiles, to be more accurate if you follewed a link to one of your profiles (e.g. http://www.chardev.org/?template=12345).
It will not work with the equip-link only with the direct link to the template.

All updates can be found here:http://www.chardev.org/?f&topic=2.

We live again ! II
After a looong downtime chardev.org is back up again.
The page is running now on a dedicated 1&1 rootserver L - 64X2 3800+, 1GB RAM, 320GB disk space.
With all the disk space I'd think of a second site, maybe porndev or something like that.
Just kidding !

The costs have doubled, so i'll double the anoying ads.
No, but please spread word, that chardev is back there !
The chardev.de template should work asap the domain is transfered, if you can't wait, just change the tld from .de to .org.

best regards and stuff
